The Return of the Turn is back! Watch the new season here.
Over the years, the Return of the Turn series has positioned itself as an iconic show where it's all about seeking the perfect turn no matter the conditions. This season, professional skier and hop turn connoisseur Marcus Caston explores the monuments of skiing culture.
From the insanely popular amateur ski race "Inferno Mürren" in Switzerland to a backcountry skiing mecca in New Hampshire, Marcus dives into local communities and tells the stories of skiers who make up the heart and soul of skiing and its traditions.
In this episode, Marcus travels to Mürren, Switzerland, to experience the world's largest and longest amateur ski race, the Inferno. It is a top-to-bottom race with thousands of competitors, little safety netting, and zero chill. As stress levels rise in the days leading up to the race, only an epic day of powder skiing could be the cure.
Mount Washington, the northeast's tallest peak, is one of the U.S.'s most popular spring skiing locations. On its eastern flank lies Tuckerman Ravine, which has become a rite of passage for many backcountry skiers. In this episode, Marcus explores some of Tuckerman's classic lines and meets a few local "Raviniacs."
Long live the turn.
