Prepare your kids for adventures outside, prepare them for the future and send them out the door in gear that will last for generations to come.
As we innovate to create responsibly made gear with technologies like LIFA INFINITY PRO™ and Mono Material, our Kids’ and Juniors’ collections lead the way with multi-faceted initiatives to help minimize our impact on the environment. Learn about the steps we’re taking to make responsibly made gear for the future stewards of the environment.
Kids grow and wear out their gear, this creates waste. We’re working to minimize this waste with gear that grows with your kids (so it can be worn for multiple ages) and is durable enough to last for multiple kids’ use.
Much of our winter apparel features extendable arms and legs, ensuring they can be worn by your two-year-old babbling toddler to your three-year-old jungle-gym master. Look for an extendable seam or an adjustable leg (with a button adjustment at the knee and elbow) in select pieces.
Beyond adjustable sizes, each jacket and pants must withstand wear and tear. Super durable, our gear even has a name tag with room for three names: a symbolic and useful way to mark the many kids who will be using the same gear for years to come.
Every parent and guardian has a duty to keep their children safe. Each and every one of our Kids’ and Juniors’ products is 100% PFC-free. And each fabric is trusted with bluesign® approval, giving you the confidence that harmful substances are eliminated from the very start of the manufacturing process.
Caring for the planet includes caring for the animals. All our down products are fully certified by the Responsible Down Standard and can be traced to the farms from which they originated. Individual sites are audited on an annual basis by independent third-party certification bodies.
With only 1% of textiles recycled into new fabrics and a substantial 73% being incinerated or ending up in landfill, the strain on our planet is huge. To address this, our 2021 Kids’ and Juniors’ gear uses as many recycled materials as possible and we are steadily increasing this number every season.
With 1.7 globes now needed to support the amount of man-made waste created annually, our kids are carrying the world on their shoulders. For all its colorful fabrics, the traditional dyeing process guzzles water, which is then discharged back to nature as toxic waste. Why? Because the yarn is dyed after production.
We’re working to solve this using solution-dyed materials. By integrating the dye into raw materials, the process uses 85% less water and produces longer-lasting vibrant colors. Over 80% of the lining in our gear is solution-dyed to give our young adventurers around the world the best opportunities.
Despite being trusted by over 55,000 professionals worldwide, kids are the true experts when it comes to testing the limits of our gear. If that leads to a snag here and there, we’ve got you covered. All our Kids’ and Juniors’ PU rainwear come with repair kits to turn parents into fixers: just watch your kids as you magically transform their garment, so they never miss out on an adventure.
Since our founding in 1877, our focus has always been to make functional and durable gear that will stand the test of any trend. Our unisex designs aim to appeal to all genders and seasonless colours are thoughtfully selected, so the gear can be passed down to siblings, neighbours and friends.
As your child makes new discoveries and reaches new milestones, our gear nudges them to be bolder, to be braver. From rough and tumble in the playground to skiing in the mountains, our durable gear will see them through every step of the way.
